One day I gazed into a shallow stream and dreamed faces gazed back at me through the shimmering water. They seemed to come from another century.
I began to collect smooth river stones and to paint them with Victorian faces — a unique face and a unique personality for every stone.
I keep most of my painted stones in a large basket at home. A few are now for sale at the Vienna Arts Society shop in Vienna, Virginia.
